HEDP·Na2 is an organic phosphonic acid scale and corrosion inhibitor that can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on metal surfaces. It can still exhibit good corrosion and scale inhibition at 250℃, remains stable at high pH values, and is not prone to decomposition under general photothermal conditions. Its acid and alkali resistance, as well as its resistance to chlorine oxidation, are superior to those of other organic phosphonic acids (salts). HEDP·Na2 can form hexacyclic chelates with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, thus exhibiting good scale inhibition and significant solubility limiting effects.   • Description for use

    When used in rust preventive oils (greases), it exhibits particularly effective corrosion resistance against copper and its alloys, as well as silver and its alloys.
